I just heard Vin Scully pronounce it “Muh-HOLL-um” and practically fell off my chair. I just assumed old Vin had finally lost it. It bugged me for 2 days so I searched it and found this site. I don’t know if it is right but it sure sounds strange. I had just assumed it was like Stockholm. Hmmmm…

Just came across this. Interesting. Here’s the way I would frame it: In the real world, not some statistical never never land, would you want Belle on your team? How many left fielders would you take over him? Did his attitude contribute to the team’s wins along with his on-the-field hitting? Bill James once predicted that Dick Allen would eventually be looked at as a possible HOFer because personalities fade while numbers don’t.

Just speaking for myself, I cannot imagine any scenario in which I would want Belle on my team, and especially compared to the greatest players in history. The goal of the game is to win pennants, not accumulate numbers, so I think you need to consider the whole package.

michael saunders. He will probably be a 30/30 guy this year and the only tool in question is hitting for average. He will probably be a 270 or better hitter.

Check out Frisco kid named Kaden Dydalewicz.

12 yrd old- Big arm and bat. 4-5 tool kid at 12.
Hit 4 bombs last season as a 11yr old, and 2 of the 4 were Grand Slams.

Plays on Dallas Patriots premier 12yr old team.

Pitches mid 60′s and plays 3B, 2B, 1B.

Love the post. In our honest opinion, while Swisher might be a plus in the short-term, we still wouldn’t shop around Andre Ethier if we were the Dodgers. Yes, Ethier hasn’t had the season he had in 2009, but how much of a bonus would you actually get from Swisher? Not much more.

It kinda sucks for the Braves. In past years, their excellent season would have given them a “free pass” into the divisional series. Now they flip a coin to see who goes.

Additionally, I don’t even think it’s fair to argue that they are the 4th best team. I think they are better than the Giants, but that’s splitting hairs. The Giants essentially get the “free pass” because they play in the Special Needs division known as the NL West.
